Why should you eat cottage cheese

Curd cheese is definitely one of the most popular forms of dairy products. It can be prepared in the form of various sandwich pastes, combined with raw or cooked vegetables or simply eaten as a filling and tasty snack. Indeed, dieticians often confirm that quark is a suitable product for all kinds of diets. It turns out that curd cheese, despite its low calorie content (one slice of lean curd is only 34 kcal), can provide a long-lasting feeling of satiety. Dairy products are important for the human body
As quark is a dairy product, it is a rich source of wholesome protein and beneficial amino acids. Moreover, it also contains many valuable vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E and B. Cottage cheese also contains calcium, which is essential for building our bones. Cottage cheese is therefore an extremely versatile product, as well as easily digestible, and suitable for both slimming diets and those used in various types of diseases. Among others, in case of food poisoning, other digestive system diseases (e.g. gastric ulcers, hyperacidity, intestinal disorders). Moreover, the administration of cottage cheese and dairy products to children in general is recommended from an early age.
Recipes using curd cheese
Preparing cottage cheese in various forms gives us an almost infinite number of possibilities. It can be served with vegetables, fruit, as a savoury salty snack or as a sweet dessert. Pancakes with cheese are a well-known and popular choice when using cottage cheese. Cottage cheese pastes are definitely ideal for sandwiches, salt fingers or crackers. Below you will find three recipes for tasty cheese based pastes.
Pasta with dried tomatoes
Simply crush the curd with a fork and mix it with the chopped pieces of dried tomatoes, which have been drained from the oil, into small pieces. Then add the sunflower seeds and a little bit of chilli pepper at your discretion. You can also decorate with fresh basil leaves. This paste can be served, for example, in tiny forms of salt cupcakes made of shortcrust pastry.
Tuna paste
Drain the tuna in pieces from the oil and throw it into a larger bowl. Add the curd. Shred everything with a fork. Cut about half an onion into small cubes and add to the paste. Finally add some fresh dill, season to taste with salt and pepper and add a few spoonfuls of mayonnaise. The paste prepared in this way can be used as an addition to bread, grissini salty fingers or crackers.
Olive paste
The crushed curd must be combined with the green or black olives (or both) cut into pieces and the dill chopped. This paste can be gently sprinkled with olive oil to taste and served with e.g. breadsticks or toasts.
There are many possibilities of using cottage cheese in the kitchen. Thanks to eating such dishes we can be sure that we will provide our body with the correct amount of protein and various necessary vitamins. In the old days, our grandmothers often used this product to prepare delicious home-made stuffing for Russian dumplings, or lazy noodles or just numerous cottage cheese pastes for sandwiches. Such a unique composition means that we should simply introduce white cheese to our daily diet more often than a few times a month. Thanks to this we will achieve satiety, and our health can improve.
